The theme during April’s Festival de Arte was “Soy Yo” (“This is Me”), in which the volunteers let self-reflective art workshops with the kids in their placement organization prior to Festival. And during Festival, the kids’ artwork was displayed, with the best, most thoughtful pieces, given awards. Festival is also a time for the kids to express themselves through performing arts, whether singing, dancing, or playing the guitar, we were so impressed with the talent show the kids (and volunteers!) put on this month. Always a great time, Festival de Arte gives the kids a chance to get creative and have fun!
