Our September 2012 Volunteer class started their orientation this week! Hailing from Australia, Chile, Germany, the Netherlands, Venezuela and the United States, this amazing group is already impressing us with their insight and enthusiasm. After 10 days of orientation, with trainings from VE staff as well as Chilean social service professionals, our “newbies” will get a break to celebrate Fiestas Patrias (a national holiday celebrating Chile’s independence), before beginning their work in one of our partner social service organizations. We are so excited to have them here, and can’t wait to see all they’ll accomplish with the children we work with!
