Intern positions are limited and competitive. Interns must be able to commit to a minimum 3-month commitment.
Internships may be part time or full time, with a minimum weekly commitment of at least 20 hours.

VE Global’s investment in its human resources is a key factor in successfully attaining its mission and vision. As an intern you will support the Executive Director and Program Director in their achievement of the highest standards in selection and recruiting, training, program management, and resource development. Additionally, you will provide direct support to the VE Global team on logistical, strategic and operational aspects of VE Global’s initiatives.
The internship will provide the candidate with the opportunity to get a comprehensive view of an international nonprofit organization that focuses on providing social services to children and youth at social risk through its volunteer program. You will gain unique insight into the operations of a dynamic organization that values empowerment, community, positivity, integrity and responsibility.
Program Team Intern
Responsibilities and Specific Tasks:
- Work with the Program Director to oversee and manage the implementation of VE's educational and recreational programs (¡Vamos a Leer!, English in Motion, Liga de Deportes, Festival de Arte): manage and expand inventory of education, sports and arts materials and communicate with all VE Global volunteers about details and responsibilities during events
- Assist Program Director in the leadership and coordination of the volunteer team tasks, including delegation of responsibilities to volunteers
- Ensure periodic reporting and analysis of the program to present to the Program Director and Executive Director
- Assist Program Director in volunteer selection and recruiting process, from initial contact (informational and interest inquiries) to in-country arrival
- Assist Program Director in the administration of and communication with external stakeholders (volunteers, donors, etc.) by responding to enquiries in the VE Global info@ and apply@ email accounts
- Assist Program Director in coordination of pre-departure communication and volunteer arrival and placement logistics
- Help to maintain office organization and cleanliness
- Assist other staff and volunteers by supporting both ongoing and specific needs that may arise
- Foster strong relationships with volunteers and others in the VE community
- Ensure that all members of the VE community receive proper recognition for their work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Course work in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Communications, Public Policy, or related fields
- Leadership and management experience
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal relationship skills
- Excellent organization, communication and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
- Enthusiasm and passion for VE’s work
- Proficiency in Office, GoogleApps, Database Management and other computer skills (HTML experience a plus)
Recruitment & International Relations Intern
Responsibilities and Specific Tasks:
- Assist the ED and the VPC in responding to general inquiries through the VE Global info@ e-mail and pr@ e-mail accounts.
- Connect with universities and recruit locally and internationally
- Continue relations with universities in Europe and Latin America, and expand these.
- Design a calendar of actions to support communications with universities and promote positions - mass emails
- Design and offer products and support to universities for marketing
- Update external recruiting sites and explore new opportunities
- Create link with former volunteers, for possible donations and/or collaborations
- Provide support to staff in execution of volunteer program activities, such as Orientation, Jornada, VEpalooza, fundraising events, awareness campaigns, etc
- Perform general office and administrative tasks as assigned
- Assist with Salesforce database management and communications in English and Spanish, in order to secure, organize, and record donations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Course work (or equivalent experience) in Marketing and Communications, Business Administration, Development/Fundraising, Public Policy or related fields
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- Leadership and management experience

Development & Business Partnerships Intern
Responsibilities and Specific Tasks:
- Connect and explore potential partnerships with businesses – corporate volunteering
- Assist the Executive Director with resource development initiatives, grant research and writing
- Explore opportunities of funding/grants locally and internationally
- Learn from past applications and create calendar
- Learn and support created partnerships; keep in touch and expand commitment through specific campaigns, write thank you letters and constant reporting (corporate volunteering ideas)
- Find new lines for partnerships within businesses or other sources of funding (schools, govt., univ., etc)
- Attract new supporters through project ideas and specific actions that may interest them (individual level campaigns and business campaigns).
- Increase recurring donors – frequent supporters, international and national, through campaign ideas
- Provide support to staff in execution of volunteer program activities, such as Orientation, Jornada, VEpalooza, fundraising events, awareness campaigns, etc.
- Perform general office and administrative tasks as assigned

Fundraising & Alliances Intern
Responsibilities and Specific Tasks:
- Assist the Executive Director with resource development initiatives, such as fundraising
- Coordinate volunteer fundraising/events, with international and local alliances
- Coordinate the class fundraising efforts including campaign design group meetings and D-day planning.
- Be the representative for the fundraising event; plan, design, coordinate, and be the go to person.
- Learn form past fundraising events and suggest improvements.
- Revise fundraising platforms: global giving, crowdrise, amazon smile, etc
- Connect and explore potential partnerships with NGOS and other kinds of structures
- Design impactful presentations (iff, ubir al sur, am solidaria, futbol mas, etc)
- Provide support to staff in execution of volunteer program activities, such as Orientation, Jornada, VEpalooza, fundraising events, awareness campaigns, etc.
- Perform general office and administrative tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:

Communication & Marketing Intern
Responsibilities and Specific Tasks:
- Assist the Executive Director with resource development initiatives, such as marketing and communications
- Assist with updating content of current communication and marketing materials
- Produce video and multimedia material for website and publicity campaigns
- Maintain VE Global photo database
- Manage records and generate reports on program details, analysis and operational needs
- Assist with Salesforce database management and communications in English and Spanish
- Revise and improve webpage linked to objectives and image we want to communicate.
- Revise, improve, and plan on content and design for the newsletter.
- Expand number of newsletter recipients, specially locally.
- Postings on social media, engaging the public.
- Plan communication strategies: make us well known across Chile, design campaign messages and image through videos, photos, and other designs and marketing material.
- Explore media and opportunities to communicate our brand (community events, papers, radio, metro, tv, sociedad anonima, idealist, colunga bulletin, etc)
- Provide support to staff in execution of volunteer program activities, such as Orientation, Jornada, VEpalooza, fundraising events, awareness campaigns, etc.
- Perform general office and administrative tasks as assigned
